The Final Project
The final versions of the cards were finally done, and I got them printed professionally to bring out the real-ness of the game. Shown about are warriors, offerings, and prayers.
The playmat was also finalized at last, and I opted for putting rule text on the back of the mat instead of the front. The iconography was implemented to make readability easier and to help guide the player.
These were posters made very last minute in order to fill some space my show’s gallery wall, but proved to be very useful in condensing information about the rules of the game.
The lore book was also printed (on an inkjet laser printer) last minute, but since I had written an entire story and built an entire world within the game, I felt it needed to be put on display as well somehow. The rulebook was printed professionally since it was such a small size, and came out looking very well-furbished and smooth. The lore book was titled “Guide of The Hallowed” to fit world building aspects.

The final display I designed for the show ended up being much larger than I thought, and it took some time to place everything accessibly. It was a fun extra design component that I hadn’t thought about until opening night of the show, and an amazing experience when working with the space given to me among my classmates.
The Hallowed TCG is a project I am very proud of, and though I definitely would’ve illustrated my own art were I more familiar with digital artist tools, I was still satisfied with the overall aesthetic I was able to present.
